Commission Status

Currently, if you want to commission me, please note me and request my status. I am not necessarily open or closed at any point, but instead I am taking commissions based on if I have time to take some on. So please, note me and I will get back to you ASAP :) Thanks!

Color Work or Line Work:
I am also available to do color work or line work. This means just doing the coloring on a project (ie. comic book) or just the lineart. Please note me about your project and we can discuss prices then.

Prints:
I do not own a printer, so if you want prints you'll have to specify. If that's the case then I will have to quote you for printing/shipping.

A note on Prices
Even though my prices might seem steep to some, I do spend a sick amount of time on commissions. With full body images, I tend to spend about 8-12 hrs on it. Therefore I am charging based on an hourly rate at industry standard. Either way, I try to give different options so that you can find something that it in your price range.

Payment
I would prefer to transfer payment through Paypal (you will get that address when you commission me) but I will discuss other forms of payment if needed.  If you are paying via paypal, I will need your payment within 48 hours of confirmation that i will take your commission. If I do not receive it by then then I have the right to auction off your slot. Auctioning off your slot can mean one of two things. Either I will move people into your slot and your position on the list will go down OR if all of the slots are filled up, you will be removed from the list completely to make room for commissioners who have paid already. If you somehow send me the payment late and I got rid of your slot, then I will be sure to refund you immediately and inform you when I open for commissions again. I only accept full payments BEFORE I work on your commission.

It should be noted that your commission slot is not only based on first come, first serve. But also by who pays first. So, if two people ask for a commission on the same day, I will place the person that completed payment first higher up on the list.

Also, I work really hard on all of my commissions and I never put out something that I am not happy with (so this means that I typically try several versions) so any tips are greatly appreciated!

PLEASE NOTE
The prices quoted above are for non-commercial use. If you wish to hire me for commercial character design, the price is DOUBLE for non-exclusive use and QUADRUPLE for exclusive use. Non-exclusive use means that you have the right to sell the product commercially as much as you like, but I also have the right to sell prints and merchandise of the artwork. Exclusive use means that I forfeit all rights to profit from the artwork, though I am able to display it in my portfolio or on my website.

RIGHTS
I retain all rights to all of the artwork that I create, but you are allowed to use your commissioned piece in any way you wish so long as it is for non-profit. What this means is that you may use and minimally modify the artwork for purposes such as your website, but that you cannot sell prints or any other form of merchandise using the artwork, nor can you sell the rights to the work to someone else. I, on the other hand, retain the rights to use any artwork I create for merchandise and/or my portfolio. This also means that I retain the rights to pursue legal action if I find out you are using my art commercially in any way without my knowledge or consent.

Time Frame

Please note, I have a day job so I only have time to work on commissions when i get off of work or on the weekends. I also work for Fanimecon, so from Jan to May, I might be busy working on images for them as well. No matter what, these two will always take priority over commissions.  So, please don't note me or email me every few days asking me when you will get your commission! I will try to keep you (and the general public through journals here) updated frequently on to how commissions are coming along and I will provide you with screenshots when requested/needed.

When you choose to commission me, you agree to the following:
1- To pay the full commission price upfront. Should you reconsider your commission after it has been started and wish to terminate our agreement, I will refund HALF of your payment to compensate for work done. If for some reason, I back out of the commission then you will be fully refunded.

2- To provide as much information as possible so that I, as the artist, can create what you are looking for.

3- Not to redistribute or sell any of the artwork commissioned in any way where you or a second hand party will make a profit from the artwork. (only applies to non-commercial work)

My preferences for commissions:

1. All of my drawings will be cel shaded.

2. I am a huge believer in creative liberty. So, while you are making me draw a specific charcter, I would prefer to have the pose and such up to my deliberation. Also, I would appreciate it if you weren't horribly offended if I made tweaks to the character here and there (say, a different hairstyle or a slight wardrobe alteration), I would, of course, let you see these alterations before submitting it to you and give you the chance to have them changed.

3. I will only allow three revisions to the image! Anymore than that is just ridiculous and time consuming.

4. I Might or Might Not post the commissions I finish in my gallery. So please dont bother me about it if I do not.

5. I typically do not show any sort of progress image. I usually just submit the final version to be juried by you and I will make changes then if it needs to be done. If you can not live without some sort of a progress image then let me know and we can work something out.

6. There are certain things that I am not comfortable drawing and I will let you know if your request falls into that. If it does, I have the right to refuse to draw it.

Okay, I think that covers anything/everything. If you have any other questions, please ask in this journal and I will add to this!

T_T That's too bad that you don't do commissions anymore. Can I ask why out of curiosity?
